Well today I discovered something new with the whole companion thing, luca had a class without me and something had happened which got him very worried and I instantly knew he was in trouble. I rushed over to his class and found him in the corner of the room just sitting there, the rest of the class had left already and he was alone. He looked up at me with his beautiful eyes but they held something I didn’t like to see, he looked like he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, like he had done something wrong and was ashamed. I was by his side in an instant and then I noticed his hand, he was burnt. He told me he hadn’t noticed his amulet had broken and fell off and he didn’t know where it was. The sun had moved across the sky and shone in through the window it crept across the desk and he wasn’t concerned as he thought he still had the amulet on. The bell had gone off and he moved to leave and reached across to get his book and put his hand in the sunlight. I made him stay where he was in the corner of the class and I went to search for his amulet. It still had his scent on it and I followed the trail through the campus and was brought to a girl who was wearing it. I had to wait until she left her friends and then I made sure no one else was around other than her and the one friend who went with her then I moved too fast for them to see, I took the necklace off her and vanished around the corner turning to make sure she hadn’t noticed and I don’t think she did as she kept walking and talking. I returned to luca and he put on the amulet and I took him home . His hand healed within a few hours and he was fine. I didn’t know the bond would be so strong between us so fast, I knew that the bond was there with Cassandra and Vincent but they had been together much longer.

Today I has my first real scare as a vampire, I had lost my amulet on my way to class and hadn’t noticed, then when sun had moved across the sky and shone in through the window it crept across the desk and but I wasn’t concerned as i thought i still had the amulet on. The bell had gone off and i moved to leave and reached across to get my book and put my hand in the sunlight. I hid the pain and my hand while the humans left and I tried to leave but then I thought how was I going to get home so I sat in the corner of the room. It wasn’t long till caroline was by my side and she went loking for the amulet she returned with it and took me home her concern touched me but it was unnecessary as in a few hours I was as good as new but I don’t want to go through that again it really hurt. From now on I will be more careful and check I have my amulet on me all the time. Ive learnt my lesson.
